Life is worth the fight

I will warn you now that this posts tone will be full of anger so if you aren’t in the mood to read a rant leave now.

Committing suicide is not an option never has never will be in my book.  Do I understand why some patients chose that route yes am I so shallow I can’t sympathize their chose? No

But when you are perfectly healthy and have a soon to be three year old daughter who lost her other Mommy to murder. Then no I don’t condone it and to do such a selfish act as committing suicide on Christmas day that’s fucked beyond belief.

So yeah I’m pissed off all to hell about this especially after this person has seen me fight for life and love for so long.  I can’t imagine her pain of losing her mate in such a way but to take your own life leaving your daughter with no parents to love her hold her tell her its going to be alright

When she asks me, her godfather why did her Momma leave her to what am I going to say?

I fought for life to love what she did is wrong

The true meaning of Christmas

Those who know me know that I’m an avid video game player specifically World of Warcraft.  For those that don’t know what the hell I’m talking about this is an online game that you play while interacting with thousands of other people battling some players and working together with others.  In the game you form a “Guild” or “Clan”  this is a group of players that get together and work together to succeed.  There are many tools that make it easier to communicate, like voice chat and text chat.

In the game rarely do you know the other person’s real name, because the game is an escape from real life but on occasion you get to know the other players outside of the game via email/chat programs and sometimes even meet in real life.

I met this woman through the game she’s married and lives back east on the other coast.  In real life she’s older than I am but in the game I’m her big brother and adopted her in the guild we were both in and at times drug her character by the scruff of her neck through many things she normally would not even attempt to do.

In the game her name is Nomora or N, so that’s how I’ll refer to her here.

Now that you know how I met Nomora and her husband let me tell you their story.  Nomora is a Nanny for a family and has been for 10 years, her husband is a maintanance man for a large apartment complex and has his own business.

For reasons that is none of our business they are not able to have children of their own.  Now you must be sitting there asking yourself ok Jason where are you going with this and what does that have to do with the title of your blog.

Well Nomora and her husband every year since 1992 have gone out toy shopping just like any other parents would around this time of the year.  Nest egging money to be able to afford the toys for the little ones.  Now you are probably thinking that they are doing this for Nomora’s children that she nannies.  You are wrong sorry.  Every year they spend around $500 buying toys for Toy’s for Tot’s.

Yes you heard me they save money and spend on children that they never see, because they want to give.  Not a tax right off to a charity but because they want to give.  In all the years they’ve done this they’ve never claimed it on their taxes.  They make a day of the adventure going from store to store just as many parents would buying gifts for “their kids.”

Their story is one of the true meanings of Christmas.  I just wanted to share that with everyone.
